Trophy's Derek Downham has been chosen as a top finalist in the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITERS COMPETITION's Pop/Rock category.

Trophy's Derek Downham discovered this week that his song, "How Did You Get This Way", has been chosen as a top finalist in the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITERS COMPETITION's Pop/Rock category. The judges for the ISC include Frank Black (Pixies), Tom Waits, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Ray Davies (The Kinks), Robert Smith (the Cure), plus several other world famous songwriters and producers. The Trophy song has been chosen out of thousands of entrants form all over the world.
"Music has never been a competition for me," says Downham, " but being recognized by some of my songwriting and musical heroes is just downright inspiring. I am humbled. Also, the song wouldn't be the same without TROPHY playing the hell out of it."
